First of all, this happens when you don't have the "engine32.dll" in your folder.
In most cases Avira users have problems with that.
Avira likes to delete it and puts it into quarantine.
First you have to do an exception for Avira.
Add an exception:
Now you can remove the engine32.dll from your quarantine.
If all that doesn't work, try to re-install the game again without avira enabled and after the installation has been finished, you have to add the new folder to the exceptions.
After that you can patch your game.
Overall we don't recommend Avira as a free Anti-Virus but what we commend is avast or just simply the windows defender.
